Greetings from Mossin' Annie
Green River Community Association of southern Henderson County is sponsoring “Discovery Day” on October 22, 2011. The event is located in the village of Tuxedo on old US Hwy 25 south, across from the Old Community Mill which was recently torn down. The site is also across the road from the Tuxedo Baptist Church. The festival is focused on old fashioned music, crafts, and games to celebrate community and the season. If you can attend, I am sure your creations, products and educational outreach would be a welcome addition to our event. I can be reached with additional information at 692-8240.
Thanks for contacting me about the Green River Festival in October. I certainly enjoyed our long chat yesterday and appreciate the invitation. However, Mountain Moss is offering MOSS HIKES during October and November on Saturdays and Sundays at 10 am & 1 pm. We’ll be exploring the magical world of mosses on a FUN and INFORMATIVE hike in Holmes Educational State Forest. Hikers will gather 1/2 hour in advance at Holmes. For more info, check out http://www.mountainmoss.com/hikes. I sure hope you can join me for one of these Fall Moss Hikes. Good luck with your 1st community festival.
